Message from Secretary - Football Section
Salaam Alaikum
Welcome to an exciting new season of Football
!
At the onset, I would like to thank the Chairman, Br.
Hassanain Jaffer, for asking me to take up this task
as the Sectional Secretary of the Football Section for
this term.
I would further like to thank our previous Sectional
Secretary of the Football Section, Br. Anis Somji who
made fantastic progress and surely dedicated a lot of
his time and effort in this section during the last 2
years. We will try our best to keep up to the
standards he achieved.
The Committee

Regular
Sessions
Regular Wednesday Night Sessions will be held as
normal starting at 9pm sharp. We will have a session
on Wednesday 31st May, 2006 and request you to reach
the ground by 8:45pm (read the attached form for Terms
and Conditions). Except for the short break that the
Outdoor ground will be closed from Mid June (exact
dates will be communicated via e-mail broadcast once
confirmed), I assure you a thrilling season. All are
requested to clear the Membership Fees and printout
and fill in the attached Forms and submit to any
member of the Sub Committee. The New Soccer Kits have
been sponsored courtesy of Hemsons Group – Zagy
Property and Shane Apparels. These will be distributed
immediately once the ground re-opens.
Summer Program – July &
August
Indoor 6 a-side will be held at the Iranian Club when
the outdoor ground will be closed. An e-mail broadcast
will be sent to all with all details.
Youths
under 15
For all of you with younger brothers under 15, the
good news is that we have secured Br. Riyaz Moloo’s
house for football games for youths under 15 years on
every Friday’s. Registrations will be made online on
www.jaffery.org and an email broadcast will be sent on
this once we have more details on when the sessions
start.
Daressalaam Sports
Festival 2006
We plan to take a team to Daressalaam for the Festival
to be held in th last week of December 2006. We will
arrange fitness training sessions and would appreciate
everyone’s support in attending (Dates and Venue will
be provided later). Please program your holidays so
that you can attend the Festival.
E-Competitions
E-Competitions will be arranged by Br. Irfan Dhirani and
we look forward to an exciting e-football season as
well. A League has already been formed whereby you have
to register your team first, then enter the league,
where you will be asked to enter the name of the league
and password.

Got an idea? We want to hear from you. Please do send us
all your suggestions and ideas for the new committee to
look into and implement. From my side, I can promise you
100% commitment throughout the season, and look forward
to working with all of you once again.
